Jordan, UAE parliamentary committees discuss ties, cooperation

The Jordanian-UAE House Brotherhood Committee, headed by MP Ghazi Thneibat, discussed with Emirati-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee in UAE Federal National Council (FNC), headed by MP Sumaya Hareb Suwaidi, brotherly relations in all fields, especially in parliamentary areas. Thneibat, during a meeting held remotely on Monday, lauded Jordanian-UAE relations as “historic, solid and deep-rooted” and constitute “a model in inter-Arab ties.” Thneibat and committee members commended “advanced” level of bilateral relations, calling on expanding joint cooperation in various fields to achieve common interests. Meanwhile, Lower House First Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Khalayleh, expressed pride in the “well-established, brotherly” bilateral relations, stressing keenness to strengthen them at various levels to achieve common interests. For her part, Suwaidi said the two countries’ “solid” relations constitute “a brotherhood model,” which reflect keenness to enhance joint cooperation. She also stressed importance of activating the memorandum of understanding and cooperation that was previously signed between Jordanian Lower House and UAE Federal National Council to strengthen joint relations.
