Foreign Minister of Jordan Aymen Safadi discussed with his US counterpart Antony Blinken the efforts aimed at halting the escalation and ending the war in Gaza, as well as addressing their humanitarian consequences and the risk of their continuation and expansion throughout the entire region.

The two sides met in Jordan today. Safadi emphasized during the meeting the urgent need to immediately deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and halt the escalating humanitarian catastrophe in the region.

He also stressed that the protection of civilians, condemnation of their targeting, and their killing are collective legal, ethical, and humanitarian responsibilities.
