Jordan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Security and Stability

Amman:Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, and Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, held a phone conversation to discuss regional developments and de-escalation efforts.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministers focused on initiatives to end the dangerous escalation in the region and emphasized their mutual support for establishing lasting security and stability.

During the call, Safadi expressed Jordan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to counter Houthi attacks, affirming Amman's backing of Riyadh's measures to safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.

He also condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including attempts to target Makkah Al Mukarramah and Medina, along with strikes on civilian and economic facilities.

Safadi reiterated Jordan's backing for Yemeni legitimacy and stressed the importance of resolving the Yemeni crisis to restore security and stability in Yemen, protect its unity, sovereignty, and resources, and meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people in line with approved references.
