Ramallah, The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign affairs condemned the persistent aggression perpetrated by the Israeli occupation on Gaza Strip which affected all citizens’ walks of life through using bombardment, devastation, killing, evictions, as well as destruction of a variety of infrastructure and institutions and chiefly the hospitals.

This Israeli aggression created a real and unprecedented humanitarian disaster for Palestinians in Gaza Strip which compromised the minimum essentials of human life, such as depriving them from the fundamental needs as stipulated by Geneva conventions and international humanitarian law and international human rights law, according to a statement of the Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The ministry added that the occupation authorities continue their measures and practices in the occupied West Bank, including Eastern Jerusalem to entirely capture them through imposing a military cordon with the aim of squeezing and disintegrating them, intensifying military bar
ricades and closures either through iron gates, fixed earth berms or concrete blocks to consolidate apartheid and cripple the movement of defenseless citizens through military orders to bring their entire life to standstill.

The support provided by the occupation authorities to colonizers to perpetrate further violations, crimes and provocative debauchery against Palestinians deprive them from commuting between cities and governorates to accomplish their simplest humanitarian needs, including security, jobs, education, and freedom of movement to obtain their livelihood sources, as well as hospitals and health centers, the statement pointed out.

It called for an urgent international intervention to halt the devastating occupation’s aggression on Gaza Strip and secure access of the fundamental humanitarian needs, stop the accelerating consequences of this unprecedented humanitarian disaster and coerce the Israeli occupation to rescind all unilateral and illegal measures that unequivocally compromise the final
solution through negotiation.

In conclusion, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Palestinian people are victimized by the continuation of the occupation, adding that they are victims of international double standards and the international failure to achieve peace and apply the two-state principle.
