BEIRUT: The Israeli entity continues its destructive war on Lebanese territory, specifically targeting the southern part of the country, where it has carried out intense airstrikes resulting in widespread destruction of towns and residential homes. According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that the Israeli army has proceeded to destroy and rig entire neighborhoods, leading to the near-complete obliteration of more than 37 towns and the total destruction of approximately 40,000 housing units. These destructive operations are concentrated in an area three kilometers deep, extending from Naqoura to the outskirts of the town of Khiyam, where the targeting of infrastructure and residential homes continues in an attempt to displace Lebanese residents from their houses. These attacks are part of a serious escalation by the Israeli entity, which has continued to target civilians and residential areas in southern Lebanon since October 2023.
