Iranian and Maltese Foreign Ministers Convene on Gaza Developments

TEHRAN — The latest developments in the Gaza Strip were the focus of a telephone conversation today between the foreign ministers of Iran and Malta.

According to Qatar News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed his country’s strong opposition to the harm of civilians, particularly children and women, in conflict zones around the world.

Malta’s Foreign Minister Ian Borg, echoing a call for peace, voiced his country’s stance against the ongoing conflict and underscored the urgency of continued political dialogue to resolve the crisis in Gaza. Both ministers highlighted the importance of a political resolution to the hostilities.
