Doha:Invest Qatar and Brain Co, a Silicon Valley-based applied artificial intelligence company, have announced a new partnership aimed at accelerating AI adoption and advancing digital transformation in Qatar. This collaboration seeks to position Qatar as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the partnership will involve Invest Qatar and Brain Co working together to identify and develop AI initiatives and pilot programs with both public and private sector stakeholders in Qatar. This effort aligns with Qatar's Third National Development Strategy and National AI Strategy, focusing on translating AI opportunities into practical applications that address specific sector priorities.
As part of the agreement, Invest Qatar will facilitate Brain Co's expansion within the country and the broader region. This includes connecting the company with relevant government and private sector stakeholders, identifying collaboration opportunities, and supporting engagement with Qatar's growing technology ecosystem.
Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar, stated that this partnership underscores Qatar's commitment to leveraging advanced technologies for innovation and sustainable economic growth. It also aims to develop local talent and capabilities, preparing a workforce ready to thrive in a global AI-driven economy.
Omid Raghimi, President of Qatar Business for Brain Co, highlighted the significance of the collaboration, citing their recent achievements in Qatar, such as the world's first AI-powered building permit system and initiatives in the healthcare and energy sectors. Brain Co is committed to helping Qatar's government address challenges and achieve milestones of the Third National Development Strategy, focusing on healthcare, energy, financial services, and regulatory sectors.
A major focus of the partnership will be talent development and upskilling, with initiatives in training, knowledge transfer, and capacity building in AI and related technologies. This aims to enhance local capabilities and support the growth of Qatar's digital and technology sectors.
The partnership follows Brain Co's increasing involvement in Qatar. Earlier this year, at Web Summit Qatar 2026, the company announced plans to establish a flagship office in Doha, marking a significant step in its regional expansion. The new office will leverage Brain Co's AI expertise and partnerships to support Qatar's goal of becoming a global hub for technology and innovation.
