Doha Municipality represented by the Health Control Department of the Municipal Control Department carried out intensive inspection campaigns of various restaurants and food establishments throughout the Holy Feast of Sacrifice. The inspection campaigns included the food establishments in Souq Waqif, Mesheireb, the shops of Katara, the Pearl and several hotels located within the administrative boundaries of Doha Municipality.

During the inspection campaigns that started in June and continued throughout the feast holiday, the inspectors of the Health Control ensured the compliance of the food establishments? workers with the health requirements in the consumer complexes, the public kitchens, restaurants, butcheries and sweetshops that see a large turnout as the feast approaches. Moreover, the Health Control Department took into consideration to allocate a team to receive complaints during the feast holiday. The campaigns focused, in the first place, on raising health awareness of the establishment in order to raise its level in applying the health requirements properly and correctly to avoid making mistakes and violations.

During that period, the inspection campaigns were supervised by Head of Health Control Department, Naglaa Abdul Rahman Al Hail and Head of the Inspectors Unit at Health Control Department,Ali Muhammad Al Qahtani.
