Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has launched a recycling pilot program at selected sites in Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City.

The Waste Wise program encourages staffs, patients and visitors to use state-of-the-art bins to recycle paper, aluminum, plastic, and other wastes. Moreover, the new pilot program seeks to change habits and behaviors related to recycling.

Mr. Hamad Al Khalifa, HMC’s Chief of Healthcare Facilities and Acting Chief of Business Services, said that in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and its commitment to environmental sustainability, HMC is working to reduce the general wastes that are sent to landfills in the State of Qatar annually by making some changes.
