Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, at the outset of the call, HE the German President inquired about the situation in the State of Qatar following the severe Iranian aggression. His Excellency conveyed Germany's solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemned the aggressive actions.

HE the German President also expressed gratitude and appreciation towards HH the Amir for Qatar's attentive care towards Germans residing in the State, ensuring their safety amidst escalating tensions.

Furthermore, the discussion extended to the developments in the region. Both leaders emphasized the importance of reducing tensions and de-escalating the situation. They agreed on the necessity of intensifying international efforts to resolve the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means, aiming to bolster regional and international security and stability.
