Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has ratified the constitutional amendments of 2024 to the Permanent Constitution of the State of Qatar. This decision follows a review of the referendum results held on Tuesday, 3rd of Jumada Al-Awwal 1446, corresponding to November 5, 2024, where the amendments received an approval rate of 90.6 percent of the total valid votes. According to Qatar News Agency, these constitutional amendments are set to be effective from the date of the referendum results announcement. The changes will be officially documented in the Official Gazette, marking a significant update to the legal framework of the country.
