HH The Amir and Indonesian President Discuss Regional Stability in Phone Call

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Wednesday from HE President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. The conversation highlighted significant diplomatic exchanges between the two leaders.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, HH the Amir and HE the Indonesian President exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, reflecting the cordial relations between Qatar and Indonesia. Furthermore, President Subianto extended his condolences to HH the Amir regarding the unfortunate helicopter crash involving members of the Qatar Armed Forces in the national territorial waters.

The Indonesian President expressed Indonesia's condemnation of the ongoing military escalation in the region and confirmed the country's willingness to aid in de-escalation efforts. In response, HH the Amir expressed gratitude for the support and solidarity shown by Indonesia during this challenging time.

Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to enhance regional and global initiatives aimed at ceasing military escalation. They agreed on the importance of prioritizing diplomatic avenues to resolve conflicts and promote peace and stability worldwide.
