London: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held an official talks session with HE Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Keir Starmer in Downing Street. The discussions primarily focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Qatar and the United Kingdom, with particular emphasis on leveraging opportunities in the fields of economy, investment, education, and defense. According to Qatar News Agency, both leaders also reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest, particularly concerning the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. HH the Amir expressed his gratitude to HE Starmer for the cordial reception and highlighted the significance of the visit, which also included a meeting with HM King Charles III and the royal family. He emphasized the intent to explore further cooperation opportunities and address the ongoing issues in Gaza and the broader Middle East region. HE Starmer welcomed HH the Amir and his delegation, marking the visit as a significant milestone since assuming the premiership. He underscored the profound relationship between the two nations and expressed his commitment to strengthening these ties.
