Manama, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has asserted that the kingdom boasts a bright history in football, and has a rich record laden with landmark achievements.
HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of the “Centenary of Bahraini Football” book in enriching the national sports library.
He made the statements while receiving here today the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, who presented him with a copy of the “Centenary of Bahraini Football” book.
CEO of the General Sports Authority, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Acting SCYS Secretary-General, Marwan Fuad Kamal, and the editorial board of the book, were present.
HH Shaikh Nasser indicated that the “Centenary of Bahraini Football” book documents the rich history of football in Bahrain, commending the efforts of Shaikh Duaij bin Salman, whose idea was the book.
Shaikh Duaij bin Salman expressed thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for his unwavering support, which resulted in the issuance of the book that tells the success story of Bahraini football between 1922 and 2022.
