Health Services to be Virtual Starting Today

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) begins today providing telemedicine services and health consultations, on the occasion of Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, at a rate of 70%, and direct consultations by attending health centers at a rate of 30%.

PHCC confirmed that it has taken this measure to ensure that patients have access to health care at the required level during the World Cup, especially since the medical consultations’ remote system proved its effectiveness during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. PHCC explained that online health services and virtual sessions will form a large part of consultations with the aim of reducing the demand for health centers, as well as ensuring that residents and citizens have access to all services alike.

Patients can also continue to book consultations and appointments by dialing the Community Call Center on 16000, while the hotline for booking appointments related to the COVID-19 virus works only on 40277077.
