The Ministry of Health disclosed the circumstances of the attack on one of its staff, a “doctor working in the Diyala Health Department, by a security checkpoint in the Hamrin region.
The Ministry confirmed, in a press statement today, Saturday, its contact with the Police Command in the governorate and the concerned security authorities, as a judicial decision was issued to arrest the checkpoint personnel to conduct the investigation properly and hold the aggressors accountable.
It explained, “An investigation was opened to find out the circumstances of the attack, and the matter was referred to the judiciary to take the necessary legal measures against those who committed this attack.”
