H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received in Abu Dhabi Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Vice-President of the European Commission.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation relations between the UAE and the European Union, in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern, such as the energy file.
They also reviewed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, including the Uranian crisis.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed the visit of Borrell, highlighting the UAE’s keenness to strengthen its relations with the European UInion and its countries.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs and the UAE Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
