H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan meets Director-General of Israeli Foreign Ministry

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met today in Abu Dhabi with Israeli Foreign Ministry’s Director General, Ronen Levy.

The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the UAE and the State of Israel in all fields and the importance of strengthening bilateral relations to serve the common interests of both nations and support their development goals.

The UAE top diplomat also discussed with the Israeli official a number of regional and international issues of interest, and ways to enhance efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East region and advance development paths for the benefit and prosperity of its peoples.

They reviewed ways to build on the Abraham Accords Peace Agreement signed by the UAE and Israel in order to achieve peace and consolidate security in the region, and discussed the role of the agreement in creating development partnerships between the two countries in several sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah said that the steady growth in cooperation between the two countries confirms that peace is the basis for achieving a better life for peoples and strengthening development paths in all societies.

He affirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for the rights of the Palestinian people, underscoring the importance of advancing efforts aimed at achieving peace based on the two-state solution, promoting coexistence in the region, and countering extremism and hate speech.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ADQ, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and holding company, and Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khaja, the UAE’s Ambassador to Israel.
