H.E. the Minister: World Cleanup Day is a milestone in promoting awareness of public cleanliness significance.

HE Dr. Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality and Environment (MME) and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, affirmed that the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, is determined to participate with countries of the world in the celebration of World Cleanup Day.

He continued saying that hygiene is a significant indicator of a state’s civilization and progress. This requires commitment at both individual and collective levels, and it becomes everyone’s responsibility towards themselves, their country and society.

Additionally, H.E affirmed that although the celebration of World Cleanup Day is a milestone in promoting awareness of the significance of public cleanliness, it is critical to maintain what we do on a daily and continuous basis by minimizing waste, ensuring safe disposal, sorting, recycling, and utilization of waste in the generation of new energy sources in order to keep our country, our environment and the planet clean.
