GTA Obtains ISO Certificate in Management, Information Security and Risk Assessment

General Tax Authority (GTA) has obtained the ISO certificate (ISO27001:213) from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), following the GTA application of the latest international standards in the area of management, information security and risk assessment. GTA obtaining this certificate is regarded as an acknowledgment that GTA has controls required for information security to protect customers’ data. This certificate is awarded to entities and companies meeting specific requirements and standards, according to an assessment provided by an independent team made up of qualified auditors.

HE Mr. Ahmed bin Issa Al Mohannadi, President of GTA, said that GTA obtaining the ISO certificate has come within the framework of its great interest in information management and security, since the certificate is considered an international prestigious standard for the practices of this important area. He emphasized that GTA has updated its online services and built on modern applications.

He pointed out that GTA has updated its information technology infrastructure, in a manner that enables it to upgrade its online services and e-linking with different government entities and other entities to realize the Authority’s plan on the digital transformation in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
