The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) announced that Law No. (1) of 2022 issuing the Social Security, and Law No. (2) of 2022 on Military Retirement will be effective after 6 months, as of January 3, 2023.

This came according to GRSIA’s official account on Twitter.

The Official Gazette of the State of Qatar published – in its seventh issue of 2022 – Law No. (1) of 2022 issuing the Social Security Law, and Law No. (2) of 2022 on military retirement.

The Official Gazette stated that they shall come into force six months after their publication.
