The government has made significant progress in the higher education sector during the first half of 2024 as part of the Economic Modernization Vision (2023-2025) executive program. According to the report, notable achievements include the completion of the Kingdom's project for healthcare and medical education, with the final license granted for the establishment of the Kingdom University for Health Sciences.The final design of the project has been completed, and construction for the College of Medicine is 13 percent finished. Additionally, efforts have been made to enhance the curriculum for the College of Human Medicine in collaboration with the University of London. The report also highlighted that initial approval has been given for the establishment of a 330-bed teaching hospital, with 13 percent of the construction work completed. The development of technical, medical, and educational aspects of the hospital is underway in partnership with UCLA Medical Centers. Furthermore, the Ministry of Higher E ducation and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has officially recognized the technical and applied education programs for intermediate and bachelor's degrees from 20 accredited Jordanian universities. This recognition, achieved through the Jordanian-Kurdish Higher Education Forum 2024, is expected to significantly boost student enrollment from the region at Jordanian institutions. Additionally, the report noted the introduction of 19 new specializations across 115 offered by higher education institutions in Jordan for the 2024/2025 academic year, encompassing intermediate diplomas, bachelor's, higher diplomas, and master's degrees.
