Gold Prices Steady as Investors Await US Inflation Data

Doha: Gold prices were steady on Wednesday after hitting a more than three-month high in the previous session, as investors awaited key US inflation data for clues on the Federal Reserve's interest-rate path. Spot gold was little changed at $4,652.39 an ounce, after rising on Tuesday to its highest level since mid-May. US gold futures gained 0.3% to $4,709.20 an ounce. According to Qatar News Agency, among other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.7% to $69.09 an ounce, platinum gained 0.6% to $1,869.22, while palladium advanced 1.4% to $1,345.30.
