Global Conference Explores Arabic Language and Culture

Doha:The fifth annual international conference of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) convened on Sunday, bringing together researchers and specialists in language and culture from across the Kingdom and abroad. The event aims to examine the intersections between Arabic language and culture and explore their various dimensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two-day conference will delve into the connection between language and cultural identity, intercultural interaction, intellectual and artistic creativity, digital culture, cultural policies, and future cultural prospects. Participants will examine how Arabic language and culture manifest across identity, creativity, global interaction, digital transformations, and linguistic and cultural policies.

The conference will address the influence of social media on cultural identity and highlight the roles of artificial intelligence and digital transformations in the cultural sector. Additionally, it will focus on the integration of language planning with cultural strategies, national legislation supporting Arabic, and institutional efforts to promote and protect the language.

Future cultural prospects of the Arabic language will be explored, including challenges and opportunities within creative fields and the knowledge economy, as well as initiatives shaping the global cultural landscape. The conference also emphasizes Arabic's role in translation, intercultural dialogue, intellectual and artistic creativity, and digital culture, considering the impact of digital platforms and AI on cultural identity and Arabic content.
