Georgetown University Awards Executive Master’s Degree to 12 Diplomats and Officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

During a graduation ceremony held at Georgetown University headquarters in Washington, 12 diplomats and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials were awarded an Executive Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Affairs.

 

His Excellency, Dr Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al-Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explained that the graduates completed in Washington the external study unit that focused on global issues, institutions and policy-making.

 

James Seevers, Director of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University’s School of International Affairs, highlighted the historical significance of the celebration of the first batch of Executive Master degree graduates in Diplomacy and International Affairs.

 

He added, “This ceremony represents a personal milestone for each of our graduates and opens the door to new opportunities for a new generation of Qatari diplomats. We are honoured to work with this creative generation of Qatari diplomats and to play a role in enhancing the knowledge and skills needed to raise the level of global understanding and respect between countries.”
