“Today, as Lebanese, we feel proud that the State of Qatar is raising the banner of brilliance in hosting the FIFA World Cup finals for the first time in the Arab world,” Head of the Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea said in a tweet this morning.
“In this step, we see an emphasis on the civilized facet of our region amidst attempts to demonize it,” Geagea went on.
“All the best to the participating teams, led by Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia and Qatar,” he concluded.
