GCC Secretary-General Highlights Progress on Supreme Council Initiatives

Riyadh:Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, emphasized the ongoing active engagement of ministerial committees in implementing decisions from the Supreme Council's Consultative Meeting. These efforts include follow-up on milestones through ministerial sessions and workshops with member states, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of GCC leaders and strengthen joint Gulf action.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi made these remarks at the 10th meeting of the High-Level Committee for Following up on the Implementation of Decisions of the GCC Supreme Council Consultative Meeting. The meeting took place at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh, with committee members present.

Albudaiwi noted the importance of meticulous monitoring of progress and intensified coordination with relevant authorities across member states. This approach is intended to identify remaining steps and address potential challenges in implementing the meeting's decisions.

He stressed the necessity of translating the outcomes of ministerial meetings and workshops into concrete actions and tracking their implementation within set timelines. Albudaiwi commended the collaborative efforts of member states, ministerial committees, and specialized working teams, highlighting the General Secretariat's dedication to continuous follow-up and coordination. This dedication aims to ensure the sustainability of achievements and advance Gulf integration for further progress.
