The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) held the Israeli occupation forces responsible for the escalation of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories in light of Israeli continuous and flagrant attacks against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.
In a statement on Saturday, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi called for an immediate cessation of the escalation between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces to protect innocent civilians.
Al Budaiwi stated that Israel’s ongoing aggressions constitute a blatant violation of international agreements and laws, obstructing efforts towards a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue. He reiterated his call for international institutions to intervene swiftly and effectively to revive the efforts aimed at enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate rights, including establishing their state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, to achieve the desired peace and sta
bility in the occupied Palestinian territories.
