New York:Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi met with Secretary-General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting occurred during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Both leaders discussed enhancing the relations between the GCC and the Council of Europe, exploring various proposals to expand their cooperation.

They also addressed the regional situation and its implications for both regional and global security and stability.
