FM calls on international community’s move to deliver humanitarian aid to besieged Gaza

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, on Wednesday, called on international community to move to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza enclave.Addressing the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers at the Arab League, during its extraordinary session held in Cairo, Safadi stressed Jordan’s position calling for an end to the severe escalation and war on Gaza, and warning of the repercussions of erupting cycles of violence and the absence of prospects for peace based on the two-state solution, which guarantees the embodiment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state with occupied Jerusalem as its capital on June 4, 1967 lines.Safadi also stressed the need to respect international law, international humanitarian law and protect civilians from both sides in accordance with international laws.He affirmed Jordan’s firm, historic and continuing position in supporting the Palestinian right to freedom and dignified living in its independent, sovereign state.He w
arned that the Middle East region will not enjoy security and peace without achieving a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees the Palestinians’ right to security, freedom, and a sovereign independent state.
