Beirut: Five people were killed and four others injured today in two Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that one strike targeted a car in Nabatieh district, killing four people.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces struck emergency response teams in Siddiqine, in Tyre district, while they were carrying out rescue operations to retrieve victims from an earlier strike, killing one person and injuring four others.
The ministry warned that these attacks underscore Israel's continued violations of international laws and norms without accountability, noting that this was the second direct targeting of paramedics in less than 12 hours. It follows an earlier strike on a rescue crew in Haris, in Bint Jbeil district, which killed two paramedics and left a third critically injured.
