FIFA 2026 World Cup: US Advances to Round of 16 by Defeating Bosnia 2-0

Doha: The US qualified for the round of 16 of the FIFA 2026 World Cup after defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 during the round of 32. Folarin Balogun scored the first goal in the 45th minute. He was also sent off in the 64th, forcing the US to play with 10 players for the rest of the match. The second goal was scored by Malik Tillman in the 82nd minute. The US will now face Belgium on Tuesday in the round of 16.

According to Qatar News Agency, the victory was a significant achievement for the US team, marking their advance to the round of 16. The match saw a tense moment when Folarin Balogun, who had earlier provided the lead, received a red card, putting the US at a numerical disadvantage.
