Fair weather forecast Tuesday

Tuesday’s weather will be moderate over most of the Kingdom’s regions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will see relatively hot to hot conditions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Later in the day, the country will be affected by unstable weather conditions as clouds will build up at various altitudes making a chance for scattered showers of rain accompanied by thunder in the southern and central regions, including the Dead Sea. Winds will be westerly with strong gusts, blowing dust in the western and southern areas.

As we head into Wednesday, forecasters predicted that a slight rise in mercury levels is expected, bringing relatively hot conditions to many areas, except the highlands and the plains where it will be fair.

Temperatures will drop again a few degrees on Thursday, triggering back moderate conditions to much of the country, the JMD further said.

In the central, northern, and southern highlands, the highs will range between 25C and 29C sliding at night to 18C or even 15C in the northern areas. In the port city of Aqaba, warmer weather will prevail with daytime temperatures standing at 38 degrees, while lows will drop to 25 at night.
