European Stocks Slightly Decline Amid HSBC Losses

Doha: European stocks edged slightly lower on Tuesday: The STOXX Europe 600 fell 0.1 percent to 604.68 points by 07:04 GMT, after recording its biggest decline in a month in the previous session.

According to Qatar News Agency, major regional bourses also declined, with London's FTSE 100 losing 1 percent. Shares of HSBC dropped 5.1 percent after the bank announced an unexpected USD 400 million loss linked to a fraud case in Britain, leading to first-quarter profit falling short of expectations.

In contrast, shares of Anheuser-Busch InBev saw a significant increase, jumping 6.3 percent.
