European Stocks Open Mixed as Trading Begins

Doha: European stock indexes experienced a varied opening as trading commenced on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the pan-European STOXX 600 index decreased by 0.15 percent, reaching 638.35 points at the start of trading. This mixed performance extended to major national indexes across Europe as well.

The UK's FTSE 100 index saw a decline of 0.65 percent, indicating a downward trend in the British market. Conversely, Italy's FTSE MIB index showed a slight increase, rising by 0.19 percent. Germany's DAX index reported a gain of 0.25 percent, reflecting a positive start for the German market. Meanwhile, France's CAC 40 index experienced a modest advance of 0.08 percent in early trading.
