Paris:European stock indices opened lower on Wednesday as rising oil prices renewed concerns over the sovereign debt markets of European nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the major European markets saw declines, with Paris's CAC 40 dropping 0.62% and Frankfurt's DAX falling 0.70%.

London's FTSE 100 decreased by 0.34%, and Milan's FTSE MIB declined by 0.45%. These declines followed a rebound in trading on Tuesday.
