Doha: European stock indices closed mixed at the close of Thursday’s trading: The pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed down 0.4 percent, impacted by heavy losses in HSBC and Ferrari shares. The UK’s FTSE 100 index fell 0.41 percent at the close, and the French CAC 40 index fell 0.23 percent. In contrast, the German DAX index closed the session up 0.06 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, shares of Italian luxury car company Ferrari recorded their worst daily decline ever, closing at their lowest level since last April. Shares of British bank HSBC also tumbled 5.4 percent, leading the declines in the European index.
