Doha: European stock indices closed lower Thursday: amid ongoing monitoring of developments in the Middle East conflict and fluctuations in global oil prices.
According to Qatar News Agency, the pan-European Stoxx 600 index experienced a decline of 3.99 points, or 0.7 percent, closing at 598.55 points. This downturn reflects investor concerns over regional tensions and their impact on market stability.
The French CAC 40 index also saw a decrease, dropping 57.37 points, or 0.71 percent, to settle at 7,984 points. Similarly, the British FTSE 100 index declined by 48.62 points, or 0.47 percent, ending the day at 10,305.15 points, as investors remain cautious amidst geopolitical uncertainties.
The German DAX index registered a fall of 67.59 points, or 0.29 percent, closing at 23,572 points. The overall negative performance of these indices highlights the sensitivity of European markets to external geopolitical factors and shifts in the global oil market.
