Brussels, Belgium: The European Union (EU) has expressed support for the initiation of a humanitarian pause between Israel and the Hamas movement. This development aims to alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, EU’s foreign policy chief, the pause should be fully implemented and extended for a longer duration to end the ongoing humanitarian crisis. The EU also expressed deep concern over the high number of civilian casualties, particularly involving children and women, underscoring the urgent need for a sustainable resolution to the conflict.
