The Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) organized the 2022-2023 End of Season RaceHorse General Auction with the huge participation of Qatari owners, where 158 purebred Arabian horses and purebred hybridized horses were displayed.

Held at Al Uqda Equestrian Complex, the auction achieved great success with the horse “Antar” recording the highest price in the purebred horses’ category with QR 180,000.

QREC Director of Public Relations and External Communication Dr. Fahd Abdullah Al Hajri praised the success of the closing horse auction for the 2022-2023 End of Season RaceHorse General Auction and the good participation of the owners in this auction, adding that the club organized three auctions in the current season, all of which were held at the Al Uqda Equestrian Complex.

Regarding the 2022-2023 season of QREC, Al Hajri said that the season, that ended for all the QREC competitions, horse races, championships and auctions, is one of the best and most successful seasons in terms of technical and organizational aspects, adding that the season witnessed the organization of several horse races on the grassy and sandy tracks, where 52 races were held on the Al Rayyan racetrack, 17 races on the Al Uqda racetrack, and several local and international horse beauty tournaments.
