Empowerment and Creativity Exhibition 2025 Opens in Katara


Katara: General Manager of Katara Cultural Village Foundation Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti on Wednesday inaugurated the Empowerment and Creativity Exhibition 2025, organized by the Doha International Center for People with Disabilities and hosted by Katara. The exhibition was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and ambassadors accredited to the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition featured a collection of artworks, including drawings and handicrafts, created by students from the Doha International Center for People with Disabilities. The works showcased the capabilities of this group, their excellence in the arts, and their capacity for giving and creativity.

Director of the Center Dr. Hala Al Saeed stated that the exhibition aims to highlight the capabilities and creativity of people with disabilities and provide them with a platform to express themselves. The Center works to empower people with disabilities through a supportive envi
ronment that opens up horizons of creativity and independence for them, enhancing their integration as active partners in society. She added that the works on display are not merely artworks, but rather human stories brimming with determination.

Director of the Educational Services Centers Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Iman Al Nuaimi mentioned that the exhibition embodies a bright image of creativity and determination, reflecting the participants’ creative energies capable of overcoming challenges and achieving excellence. She emphasized that the exhibition is not merely a space to showcase products, but rather a window into a world brimming with hope, telling stories of challenge, determination, and perseverance. It carries a poignant message proving that creativity is not limited by physical or mental disabilities, but rather stems from will, determination, and the desire to express oneself.

A number of activities were presented by students with disabilities, in addition to
an art workshop to highlight their artistic abilities. A dialogue session titled “Art: the language of empowerment and inspiration for people with disabilities” was also held. The session addressed the role of art and its impact on people with disabilities, considering art as an important means of improving behavior and developing creativity among people with disabilities.
