An earthquake measuring 4.8 magnitude on the Richter scale hit on Monday east of the Caraga region in the Philippines. The earthquake occurred 4.8 km east of Mindanao Island, at a depth of 50.6 km, the US Geological Survey said. There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake. The Philippines experiences high volcanic and seismic activity due to its location on the Ring of Fire of the Pacific Ocean. Source: Qatar News Agency
