Jawad El Jamili added the second goal just five minutes later. Francesco Antonucci completed the victory for Al Shahania, who entered the match following a draw against Al Duhail in the previous round. Antonucci's goal came from a well-executed assist by Moaz El Wadia in two minutes of added time, moving Al Shahania to 11 points in the standings. Umm Salal remained at nine points after the defeat.
