London: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani met with HE Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom Wes Streeting, during His Excellency's visit to the United Kingdom.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing topics of mutual interest between the two nations and explored ways to strengthen and develop their bilateral relations. A significant outcome of the meeting was the signing of an extension to the defense cooperation agreement between Qatar's Ministry of Defense and the UK's Ministry of Defense.

The agreement was endorsed by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani on behalf of Qatar, and HE Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom Wes Streeting on behalf of the UK. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both nations to further enhance their defense collaboration.

The talks were attended by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United Kingdom Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani, along with several senior officers and officials from both sides, underscoring the importance of this strategic partnership.
