HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Thursday with HE High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the European Union and a number of regional and international issues, in addition to issues of joint interest.

They also exchanged views, during the meeting, on the Afghan issue and discussed the latest developments and visions of international parties and the latest security and political developments in Afghanistan.

HE High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy expressed his thanks, in this regard, to the State of Qatar for its continuous efforts to support peace in Afghanistan, and to facilitate the evacuation of civilians from it in cooperation with a number of European Union countries.
