Jazi reiterated Jordan’s position, calling on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by rejecting all forms of double standards and selectivity in applying international legal and moral standards and protecting the Palestinian people from the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.

He also reiterated the warning that any Israeli attack on Rafah will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe that will further complicate the scene, stressing that the current situation is unbearable for more than one million displaced people who have been displaced to Rafah since the beginning of the war.

“The killing of children and women must stop, the war crimes committed by Israel must stop, the immunization of Israel from international law must end, the protection of civilians must be ensured, and the rules of international law and international humanitarian law must be respected,” Jazi said.

He emphasized that Jordan is focusing i
ts efforts to protect Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem to preserve their identity against daily Israeli violations, noting that these efforts will continue under the historic Hashemite custodianship of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.

He also affirmed the rejection of Israel’s ongoing measures and violations in Jerusalem (Al-Quds Al-Sharif), which affect the freedom of worship of Muslims and Christians and prevent them from practicing their religious rituals, and condemned the settlers’ incursions into the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif, and their violations and terrorizing civilians in the West Bank and its villages.

Jazi added: “The international community must work towards ensuring the delivery of urgent, adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers throughout the Gaza Strip, and the need for Israel to commit to allowing the entry of such aid in accordance with the rules of international law.”
