Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Launches ‘Housing’ Portal

The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau launched the first phase of ‘Housing’ portal.

It was unveiled during a press conference held today and addressed by Director of Government Housing and Building Department Jassim Mohammed Telefat, Director of Housing Planning Department Abdullah Issa Al Hammadi, Director of Allocation and Follow-up Department Nasser Al Nuaimi, and Director of Information Systems Department at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Nouf Abdullah Al Marri.

At the press conference, speakers explained that Housing portal confirms the commitment of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau’s pursuit of achieving the highest levels of development and organizational modernization, pointing to its efforts in facilitating housing services for government sector employees and enhancing digital transformation in its services.

They added that the Housing portal is at the heart of the mission and responsibility of the Civil Service and Government Development Bur
eau to care for the human element, develop it, enhance its comfort, and invest in it, in a way that ensures improved performance.

The portal at this stage, they said, will be for a number of government agencies, while more entities will be added at a later time. Currently, it covers all employees of government agencies subject to Human Resources Law No. 15 of 2016, which use the ‘Mawared’ system, they added.

The speakers noted that the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau will work to coordinate with the rest of the government agencies gradually to update their employees’ data in the Housing portal database to benefit from its services. In addition, the Housing portal will be updated later and new services will be added to it, which is in line with the efforts of the Government Housing and Building Department to provide its services digitally to make it easier for government sector employees and owners to benefit from them at any time.

The speakers discussed the journey of government employees t
o benefit from Housing services and its stages, starting with government agencies currently sending requests for allocation or change to the Government Housing and Building Department through the government correspondence system ‘Tawasol’.

They explained that the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau will soon grant government agencies the authority to access the portal to register their employees’ requests directly, as employees can use the portal directly.

The speakers stressed the advantages of the Housing portal, especially its contribution to achieving transparency, as it allows all owners to display their residential units and the selection from them is based on the needs of employees of government agencies, in addition to that it saves time and effort and eliminates the need for complex government transactions.

They also noted the importance of the portal and its role in helping government sector employees and housing unit owners to benefit from the services of the Government Housing and B
uilding Department digitally, pointing out that the portal enables real estate owners to register new properties directly and without intermediaries, as the system has been developed so that the real estate owner can inquire and obtain information immediately.
