Chinese, Saudi Foreign Ministers Address Regional Security and Cooperation

Doha: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met on Tuesday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to discuss the evolving regional and international situation. Both ministers held talks on developments in the region, de-escalation efforts, and strengthening regional security and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two ministers emphasized the importance of maritime security and maintaining freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and international waterways. This focus aims to support energy security and stabilize the global economy, reflecting the significance of these waterways for international trade.

They also reviewed the progress of the bilateral relationship across various fields, placing particular emphasis on economic, commercial, and investment cooperation. This meeting highlights the ongoing commitment between China and Saudi Arabia to enhance collaboration and address regional challenges together.
