China: China's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is "sensitive and complex." Guo Jiakun, a ministry spokesman, emphasized the importance of de-escalation in the region and urged all involved parties to act responsibly to adhere to the cease-fire agreement in the Middle East. He called for efforts to avoid further escalation of tensions and to create the necessary conditions to restore normal traffic through the strait.

According to Qatar News Agency, the spokesman also expressed China's concern over the interception of a vessel by the United States. This comment follows media reports that the United States had detained an Iranian cargo ship bound for an Iranian port.
