Chairman of Qatar Free Zones Authority Meets MENA for Global Green Growth Institute Regional-Director

HE Minister of State and Chairman of Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) Ahmad bin Mohamed Al Sayed, met with Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa for the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Mahamadou Tounkara.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two entities with regard to green growth. Discussions also included the ambitious SAFE initiative, which aims to promote joint cooperation between African and Middle Eastern countries in the areas of green investment, food security and agricultural technology.

At the meeting, the Regional Director of the Global Green Growth Institute expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by QFZ to attract and support investments in the green economy with regard to innovation in agricultural technology, clean and sustainable energy, and food security.

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based inter-governmental organization that was founded with membership from more than 60 countries around the world t
o support and promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. GGGI has a representation in a number of countries, including the State of Qatar.
